Summary
Blocks Buster keeps everything on your phone. This release stores your name, your switches and your scores in the game's own private storage, and it has nothing to send them to: there is no account, no sign-up, no leaderboard and no server.
The game contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting service, so nothing is collected about you and no usage report leaves the device.
This page describes the build offered on this website. It was last checked against version 1.0.0 (build 1).
What is stored on your phone
- The player name you type in Settings, so long as you leave it there. It only ever greets you on your own screen.
- Your best score, the number of rounds you have finished, the total lines you have cleared, your highest combo and the sum of your round scores.
- Which difficulty you last chose.
- Whether sound effects, vibrations, reduced motion and the opening animation are switched on, and whether you have read the instructions.
How it is stored
All of it goes into the small private storage area the operating system sets aside for this game, where other apps cannot read it. Each finished round is written down as the summary closes, and your best score is also saved the moment you leave a round part-played, so switching the game off cannot lose a record you have already earned.
Nothing you type is transmitted anywhere: the name field is written to that storage and to nothing else. Clearing the game's storage, or uninstalling the game, deletes it and with it all of the above. Resetting statistics inside Settings clears the scores and leaves your name and switches alone.
What is not collected
The game does not ask for and does not keep your email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, location, camera, microphone or advertising identifier, and it has no way to transmit any of them. It also has no payment integration: no payment is taken inside the game, and it never asks for a card number, CVV or Mobile Money PIN. The Support page can open the Bachs checkout in your own browser; the completed payment happens there, on Bachs' page, not in Blocks Buster.
Permissions this build asks for
The installed game is not given permission to reach the internet, so the operating system will refuse any attempt by it to contact a server. It asks for no other permission either: the short vibrations are the ordinary haptic feedback every app may request, which the system can refuse on your behalf and which costs no access to your data.
Three deliberate exceptions, and the game carries out none of them itself: the Support page can hand a blank message to your own email app, the round summary and Statistics page can hand a score you chose to share to the device share sheet, and the Support page can hand the Bachs checkout address to your browser. In each case the app you pick takes over from there; the browser, not Blocks Buster, loads the payment page, and you see and control what it sends. Where no app can take it, the text is copied to your clipboard instead and the game tells you that is what happened.
Third-party parts of the game
The interface, storage and audio parts the game is assembled from are freely licensed open-source components; they belong to their own authors, are used under their own licence terms, and none of them reports anything home. The block shapes, scoring rules, artwork, sounds and the text of these pages are original to Engero Games, and the lettering is the typeface your device already provides.
A future backup or sync
A later version may offer to back your progress up to a server so you can carry it to another phone. That option would be off by default, would ask you before the first upload, and would only ever move the values listed above - never anything else about you. Playing would stay fully possible with no connection at all, and a newer save on your phone would never be replaced by an older copy from a server.
Children
The game is made to be safe for all ages: no chat, no external links, no in-app purchases and no personal information taken from anyone. If you are a parent, a teacher or a store reviewer and would like something changed, the address below reaches the developer directly.
