Summary
Engero Games Ludo keeps everything on your phone. This build stores your finished games, your captures and tokens sent home, your best win streak and your own settings, and it has nothing to send them to: there is no account, no sign-in, no email address asked for, no leaderboard and no server.
The game needs no connection to play, sends nothing anywhere and shows no advertising. It carries no analytics and no crash-reporting service, so nothing is collected about you while you play.
This page describes the build offered on this website. It was last checked against version 1.0.0 (build 1).
What is stored on your phone
- Your wins and losses against each of the three computer strengths, your games finished, tokens captured and tokens sent home, and the longest run of wins you have had.
- The player count, mode and strength you last chose, the board theme, and every switch on the Settings screen.
- The name you type in Settings, if you type one. It only ever greets you on your own screen.
- Nothing about you beyond that.
A pass-and-play game on one device writes nothing down about the other players. They are not named, not counted against each other and not recorded, because a board shared in the room is nobody's rating material.
How it is stored
All of it goes into the small private storage area the operating system sets aside for this game, where other apps cannot read it. A finished game is written down as its result is recorded, and a switch saves itself the moment you move it.
Nothing you type is transmitted anywhere, because there is no connection for it to travel over. Clearing the game's storage, or uninstalling the game, deletes all of the above with it. Choosing CLEAR ALL RECORDS on the Settings screen empties the counts and the streak and leaves your name and your switches alone.
What is not collected
The game does not ask for and does not keep your email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, location, camera, microphone or an advertising identifier, and it has no way to move any of them.
It has no in-app purchases and no payment integration of any kind: it cannot take money, it keeps no card or wallet details, and it never asks for a PIN.
Permissions this build asks for
None that reach outside the phone. The installed game asks for no internet permission and none for location, contacts, files, camera or microphone, so the operating system has nothing to grant it. The short vibration on a capture is the ordinary haptic feedback any app may request; the system can refuse it on your behalf and it costs no access to your data.
One deliberate exception, and the game carries it out no further than your clipboard: the Support page can copy the contact address, the version line, or a sentence about the game, for you to paste wherever you choose. This build opens no mail form and no share sheet, so it composes nothing that leaves the phone by itself, and it tells you each time that copying is what happened.
The parts the game is built from
The sound effects and the background loop are short files made for this game, bundled inside it and played on your device.
The interface, storage and audio parts the game is assembled from are freely licensed open-source components; they belong to their own authors, are used under their own licence terms, and none of them reports anything home. The rules engine, the board artwork, the sounds and the text of these pages are original to Engero Games.
Players of any age
The game is made to be safe to hand to anyone: no chat, no link out of the game, nothing to buy and no personal information taken from anybody. Whoever plays is holding this phone or sitting beside whoever is.
Questions about privacy
Questions, a bug report, or a request about anything on this page: engerogames@omwoyo.top.
There is no account to close and no copy of your data on a server to ask for, because none was ever made. Deleting the game, or its storage, is the only erasure there is and it is yours to do at any time.
